I hardly dared hope for this, but it's official:
Despite yesterday's veto threat, the House passed Rep. Bernie Sanders' "Freedom to Read" proposal. This will amend the Patriot Act to require a search warrant before the FBI can demand the library records of "terror suspects."
A good day for librarians, and an even better day for readers!
