Participants tag a book with a BookCrossing ID (BCID), then "forget" the book in a public place where it can be found by a new reader, who then logs on and enters the BCID so the original reader can track the book.
Way more fun than hanging onto all those paperbacks you bought in the airport and only read once, right? And free to join, so have at it!

Yep, sure do. I haven't "released" a book yet, but I will soon -- it'll join the 67 other books currently "in the wild" in Portland!
