Summer Reading

In exactly 4 hours I'll be on vacation for two glorious weeks (but blogging at work = the vacation in my head has already started!) I'm so very very ready to hit the pause button for fifteen whole days.

Like a good librarian with time on her hands, I'll be bringing a big stack of books with me. Here's what's going in the suitcase:

Non-fiction I haven't read yet by people whose non-fiction I love:

• Collapse by Jared Diamond
• The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
• Talking From 9 to 5 by Deborah Tannen

Books I own that I haven't cracked yet because they have no due date:

• De Kooning's Bicycle by Robert Long
• An Acceptable Time by Madeleine L'Engle
• the past two McSweeney's

And the rest of the Newbery Medal winners (I've slowed down lately, so I've got 34 left to read).

Ambitious list, but I think I'm up to the challenge! So what's on your summer reading list?
